Best place! I came back after two years and knew why:
The best place to stay at Ko Pha Ngan, maybe the best place in Thailand.
Relaxing, layed back and "sabai" with a beautyfull beach bar, cozy bungalows and friendly people, ...
Hope, we will be back soon
Joe. Frankfurt. May 2010

coco gardens is a fantastic place to stay when you are on koh phangan.its ten minutes from the main town and only a 100baht taxi to the main party beach of haad rin. The staff there are bloody brilliant as are all the locals who drink at the very homly beachside tiki hut bar. The barman Pi Lek is a diamond geezer who makes one mean white russian. Lee, the owner is one of the nicest people you ll meet, helping you out in whatever way he can. And Adian... well, you ll know adi, hes the funny, charming, helpful, shin kicking, hobbit tossing 2nd owner. He is always drinking away or chewing on his cocktail sticks... you ll warm to him for sure! if you re travelling alone or in a group coco garden is the place to be but dont go this christmas... Cus i want to go back and i dont want it booked up!! :) peace!
Joseph Todd. May 2010

we had to extend our stay in CocoG resort because we did not feel like leave this place at all. Very nice, clean and quiet place. Friendly and willing staff ... great, chilling atmosphere all around the place
Lucia Madariova. May 2010

Lovely beachfront bungalow, nice staff
Pamela Cullen. May 2010

Love it! Just been back to Coco for the third time.(another couple staying there was also back for their 3th time). And it is great! They are building new fan bungalows and are planning the renovating of te old ones. The beach front ac bungalow is beautiful and was full every day. It's a mix of people staying here and of all ages. Loads of fun in the beach bar. The staff is probably the best there is, and they remember everbodys name. U get the feeling of being home just with all the xtra servce. Love the hammocks in front of every bungalow.
Trineeugenia. Apr 2010

Chillin' We enjoyed our holiday at Coco Garden very much. I would go as far as to say it has been the most relaxing break we have ever had!!!! The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and made our stay most enjoyable. We would definitely go back.
SingaporeSling011. Apr 2010

The shower had no pressure, the bed had springs sticking out and kept jabbing my leg during the night. Also when I tried to book a ferry to Koh samui through the hotel, they would only book with one company, even though there are about 3, the company they would book with, the hotel told us they had sold out of tickets. We tried to get our own with the same ferry company and got them no problem without a fuss! Great if you have to stay there, but there are other cheaper options along the beach that were just as nice!
Mr P. Apr 2010

i stayed 6 wonderful nights in coco garden, it is not a 5 star hotel but he right place where you meet great people from all over the world, the beachbar is the place where all the people meet at night, sometime until sunrise :) Here you feel that the owners love their resort and work hard for it to serve their guest. Will be back end of April and can´t wait to take a cold chang beer next to the beach, ciao
Siggi. Czech Republic. Mar 2010

Excellent stay, very nice staff !!!! to recommend !!!

Karine DENOUES. Mar 2010

Verena Krebs. Mar 2010

There is only one word to describe our time at coco gardens and that is awesome!!! Service was perfect, all the staff there are really nice and helpful. Food was great, cocktails were great, and the fry up in the morning went some way to curing our hangovers :). We will come back one day.... Keely and Phil

Keely Ann Astle. Jan 2010

Coco Gardens by far is one of the best places to stay on the west side of Thailand. The staff are so helpful and the rooms are of a high standard. I stayed for 10 days over Christmas and wished I could have stayed for more. You d be mad not to try this little gem out. Room 101 is the aircon ed top bungalow and well worth the price. Ady. Lee and Thai the owners cannot make you feel more welcome. Try it and see. Happy holidays.
Tompkins. Jan 2010

At a time most associated with spending time with family, my girlfriend and I travelled Thailand and stayed at the CoCo Garden Resort over xmas.

The resort itself occupies a truly privaleged location overlooking the Gulf of Thailand and being right on Ban Tai Beach (Haad Ban Tai). It's an extremely quiet location which allows for one to enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant, and even the beach, to best effect. However, it's also within walking distance of Thongsala and the pier and only a short taxi ride/scooter ride from the mayhem and chaos of Haad Rin.

With pristine bungalows providing a home away from home for budget to mid-range budgeted travellers, this resort really will blow you away. For only 500 Baht (during the peak season) we were fortunate enough to be 10 metres from the beach in an enormous and luxurious bungalow that we would gladly have paid more for.

Please dismiss the previous review of this place... I mean who needs a pool when you have the most beautifully crystal clear water to swim in and an immaculate beach to sunbathe on? The reef is all but 50 metres away from the shoreline and provides fantastic snorkelling and a great spot to wade out to.

All the staff are amazing individuals and cannot do enough for you. CoCo Garden Resort truly provides exceptional value for money and we can't begin to recommend it enough.

To the CoCo Garden Staff - if you are reading this... thank you so much again for making our stay so special and making us feel so welcome. We shall miss you and we look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
Moomarquinho. Bangkok. Dec 2009

The bungalows are great, you step off your balcony and you are on the beach. The room is simple, but sturdy, clean and well kept. the restaurant serves amazing (and cheap) food from 8-10. the beach bar is the place to be at night if you want to escape the lunacy at Haad Rin, the local bar flies make for entertainment and good conversation and the owners (Adrian and Lee) make excellent drinking buddies (If you can keep up with you). I would highly recommend Coco Gardens to anyone, whether you are full mooning or not. Just far enough away from Haad Rin to not goet bothered or robbed but to still have some amazing night life. Lek also makes the best Mai Tais on the island! Cheers Guys, see you again soon!
Samuel Hughes. Sept 2009

Great location to Quiet beach, lovely food, excellent rooms and service.
Benjamin Rispin. Aug 2009

Very very peaceful, and relaxing, would recommend!
Mr Graham Colin Gee. Aug 2009

Great place, run by a couple of cool farangs, fantastic location right on the beach. The most chilled place, cant wait to return.
Susan Walton. Jul 2009

Free and easy with convenient location at reasonable price. I chose here in the base of my first PhaNgan stay. In order to be accustomed to the island, I stayed for 4 days. Here was close to the town of Thong Sala and to the village of Baan Tai, there was a beach, location calls and comparatively, I think very reasonable. It was THB850 at the bungalow of air conditioner attaching double bed. Because a little there was a distance from main road, it was very quiet and cozy. The hammock which is hung in the terrace feeling very comfortable. My bungalow most was the inner part from the beach, but because it was facing the beach, when the curtain is opened, feeling good for the beach to be visible. When I walked to 7/11, because well enough there was a distance, it was more comfortable to have a motorcycle. The motorcycle was THB200 per day. The bike man was very kind, he transferred me to the next hotel placing me at the rear seat. If difficult point was said, in the room only one shelves of rattans and bed not to be at all, and especially there is no refrigerator it was harsh to me. WIFI at only the restaurant was available. It didn’t fly to the room. The beach was shallow, cannot swim. When the tide pulled, could walk rather to the distance to the sea. Staffs were all kind, but a little shy. I would like to stay again.
Toshiaki Matsumoto. Jun 2009

I went to Coco Garden with my wife and a friend of ours for two nights - to attend the Half Moon Party. We were so pleased with our choice. The air conditioned bungalows we stayed in were clean, charming and simply furnished. Exactly what we needed and had hoped for. The rest of the resort was a delight. The staff are just lovely and the beachfront bar was a great place to congregate and loosen up before the party with a few cocktails and beers. The restaurant served yummy Thai food with a smile and the setting was just beautiful. I guess, as others have mentioned, the beach was a bit of a letdown but not such a big deal that I would not stay here again. Apparently the tidal problem only happens a few weeks of the year and honestly, it didn t bother us that much. A great resort on a lovely island - we will definitely return. Thanks Adrian, Lee, Tai and all the other great people running the place.
David Bamford. Jun 2009

I stayed for 2 days and all was great. Food and bungalows are excellent. People are very friendly. They make everything for having greats holydays. Thx!!!!
Laurent Masse. May 2009

The location is great. Staff is vey pleasant and the restaurant provides good food in a very pleasant setting. The rooms (we had a fan room facing the beach) was very basic but perfect for a place to sleep. A fridge is the room will be nice. Will stay at Coco Gardens again.
Dave Engelbrecht. South Africa. Mar 2009

A great place!! Always music on the beach, fantastic cocktails (the best blue sex on the beach I ve ever drunk!), kind people... All was perfect, just one thing : the simple bungalows with fan were not really confortable, really tiny and the fan was broken (impossible to turn). But it s nothing compare to the rest. Thanks Coco Garden, my best souvenir on Koh PhaNgan!!
Emmanuelle Morand. Mar 2009

Fan rooms are very basic but the price charged is very fair. Our room was in an excellent location very close to the sea. The resort is only a 15 min walk from the pier but the taxis are a rip off. If your bag isn t too heavy simply walk to the end of the pier, turn right and walk along the road. Situated opposite the tapas bar.
Kevin Creedon. Feb 2009

The bungalows are very basic, the location is ok. I moved out after 2 nights, because there is no water in the sea! Low tide all day long and sharp stones everywhere as you try to scramble somehow in the water. Simply not enjoyable. I wouldn t recommend this place to anybody, surely not in February.
Kosztolányi Balázs. Feb 2009

Hi Adrian, We are back in England now and missing Thailand like mad!! We all really enjoyed our time at Coco Gardens and have recommend you to our friends who are planning a visit to Thailand next year. You and your staff made us feel so welcome. Hope Happy and Coco are ok! Wishing you all the best.
Sharon Healy & family & friends. Mar 2009

Best part of Coco is the extremely friendly staff. The two Jersey boys running the place, Adrian and Lee, are a special treat in a place like Koh Phangan. The king of Coco is off cause none of the above, but a 11 month dog named Tiger. He might look scary at first, but is friendly as a fiddel, and will protect you against any other stray dog with his life.
The food are splendid in this resort, and for the brave it is in walking distance to the night market in Thong Sala.

Coco Gardens offers canoe rentals to expolere the nearby reef, and there is a kite surfing school close by. The free Wifi in the restaurant is also a treat. It is a good idea to book in advance, since this is a very popular resort.

Our only missadventure in Koh Phangan was to use the motorcycle rentals recommended by Coco. Despite an accident free two weeks rental, your passport will be hold for ransom at your last day of rental. This is nothing but a good old fashion hold up by lowlife scums. Do not use the WAT scooter rental, he is not a good person.

Mortsport. Australia/Norway. Feb 2009

We enjoyed everything about coco gardens it was in a good position right on the beach. the food was very good. What really made our stay so good was the staff and owners so friendly and helpful. we would definatly come again if on the island.
Maria Staple. Jan 2009

I cannot speak highly enough of Coco Garden and their staff. Rooms are fantastic and reasonably priced, food is great (western or Thai) fantastic atmosphere throughout the day in stunning settings, second time i ve stayed there now, cant wait for my third. I would reccomend to anyone.
Ruaraidh Pope. Jan 2009

I can truly recommend this place. Cozy bungalows with the beach in one second distance, and the standard and price is really good. The restaurant serves excellent dishes both in thai and western style, so no problem to eat your breakfast here. The nearby bar also serves you great drinks in the evening, before you set off to a moon-something-party. And with your tasty drinks, the two english owners sure will set you in the good mood. Lovely staff. So off you go!
Hege Teigen. Dec 2008

I can t believe how good Coco Gardens was. The bungalows were clean and great value, the staff friendly and the food was amazing. Whilst Coco s itself isn t a crazy party in the evening, there are other bars a short walk away and you are near the Full Moon Party.
T Cussins. Nov 2008

Lovely! We came here and stayed for 14 nights. The fan bungalows are basic but cosy. The resturant are nice with gooood food :) the staf are very friendly and helpfull. It is a place to stay with a lot of soul and good vibes. The beach is ok , but if you rent a scooter here it is not far to the other beaches. It seems like the people who stayed here has been here before :) we will come back :)
Trineeugenia. Sept 2008

"Fantastic place to stay, has an amazing vibe to it with the most helpful staff and the most delicious food. We didnt leave the entire 4 days!! Brilliant!!!"
Kate Jarvis. Sept 2008

"We spent 4 days at this resort during the full moon party period. Although amenities seeem basic at first, one soon realises that this small resort is run with a hands-on approach by the owners. Thanks Adrian and team. The best beach bar on the island. Thanks for a wonderful stay."
Hendrik Nel. Sept 2008

"Room was very basic, but what we paid for. Power fluctuations meant our fan barely worked which made the room practically unlivable during the day. However, staff were incredibly friendly and the site is excellently kept. Gorgeous views onto the beach which is literally on your doorstep"
Lucy Justice. Aug 2008

"The bungalow was great (we had a/c), except that the power really fluctuated on and off. We had a cute balcony with a hammock too. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The beach wasn t great, as the sea is very shallow and too warm to be refreshing."
Jossann Kathleen MacKenzie. Aug 2008

"Myself and girlfriend Caroline stayed at Coco Garden along with friends Ross and Angharad in early August 2008. There s unlikely enough space to find to say enough good things about our experience, but I ll try and fit a few in. Adrian - Coco Garden s co-owner/barman/front of house man etc couldn t have done any more to help us enjoy our stay - not just in his resort and on the island, but for our whole trip in Thailand. As well as resonable priced drinks and good service Adrian was a fantastic source of information about the isalnds, Thailand travel in general, food, police, shopping and anything else you could imagine. We might have strayed further from the resort if only we could have found something more entertaining to do than sitting around the bar with Ady and Panda, sinking Sang Soms and Chang and setting the world to rights. The food at Coco Gardens was probably the best we had in any of the isalnd resorts we stayed in, authentic, tasty but subtle and hot enough to raise a sweat - when it was supposed to. The rooms were simple, clean but with everything working properly and comfortable hammocks outside. We did little else but sleep in them because is was so welcoming and comfortable to sit around at the bar or restaurant and enjoy the company and surroundings. The other staff at Coco Garden were friendly, attentive and fantastic to be around. Whether it s on the best beach, or has the best accomodation...I don t know - but I d recommend Coco Garden to anyone as a fantastic place to spend a few days relaxing and a great base from which to explore the island. Thanks all - we ll see you again I hope."
Ben Guest. Aug 2008

"Clean room, nice chill out deck and good food at the restaurant.Free wifi wasnt available, the shower and air con kept on going on and off due to the electricity situation on the island.Wondered a few times what we had actually paid for. Have had better value for money at lots of other places in Thailand.Massive spider in the room as well but it is the tropics after all.Beach isnt the best but nice and quiet area for chilling out in one of the many hammocks.Only 20 mins away from Haad Rin."
Mr J Thomson. Jul 2008

"i had a great time there. the atmosphere is amazing and our hosts have been truly wonderful. i kindly recomend it. the food they have in the restaurant is the best on the island and the rooms are comfortable and clean. when there s alot of people on the island there is some problems with the electricity fluctuating but other than that it has been GREAT!"
Alexandru Madalin Simion. Jul 2008

"Had a wonderful stay at cocos, would have liked to stay longer!! we had 4 nights there, the fan rooms are clean comfty and compact and set in a nice spot. run by 2 lovely freindly guys, who were very helpful and the rest of the staff were lovely. its nice and quiet of a night, and the beds are super soft. i would recommend this place to others. spot on."
Emma Bennett. UK. May 2008

"I stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The bungalows are tastefully decorated and clean...each with a balcony and your own hammock. There is a really good vibe here and it s all geared towards chilling out, the bar and restaurant have lots of pillows to lie around on which is a nice touch. If you are feeling adventurous though, the owners, Adam and Lee are more than willing to share their island advice with you. Coco gardens can also assist you with bookings for your onward travel should you wish to leave. Only slight bad point is that the sea here is too shallow to swim in but it s easy to get to the numerous other beaches for a dip."
Camilla Colley. Apr 2008

"Stayed last november already booked for november this year always a warm welcome adrian and lee run a good resort. staff second to none always helpful and smilling well done guys see you november if not before
Don & John. UK. Apr 2008

"Coco Garens is an oasis of calm! Great location, good service from Adi and Lee who run it and it has the best Thai food on the Island! Really good value for money and 10 mins away from the full moon parites. rooms are basic but decorated really nicely, a/c is a must in high season! Thanks Coco Gardens for a brillent week!"
Nicole Balaam. Australia. Mar 2008

"Small bungalows whitout refridge and property lamps. Acsess to water is not always avibale. The beach was no good, rocky and dirty. The stuff are nice but they like dogs alot."
Linda Dellstål. Holland. Mar 2008

"Great place to stay. Staff are really helpfull and friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. The food at the hotels was great and good value. Will be visting again for sure. Highly recommened"
Nicholas Alan Lamb. UK. Mar 2008

"Nice bungalow but water pressure a bit low. Right on the beach. Owners very friendly and very helpful. Nice beach bar and not to noisy like some. Restaurant very good."
R Cronan. Mar 2008

"Super accommodating, wonderful food, great value for the price, awesome bartender. we will stay here again!"
Hilary E Matthews. Mar 2008

"A budget bungalow. The bed was rockhard, and made noisy sounds when you moved yourselve. But staff was helpful and friendly. Will probably not stay there again."
Mikael Nordstrom. Sweden. Feb 2008

"Good atmosphere, nice people, good for economy budget, but if you need that ekstra comfort you may want to consider other more expensive places. Coco Gardens give you good value for money, and they have a nice beach bar but area on that side of Phanang is still under continuous development and there is not too many great restaurants around as most of the good ones are in Haad Rin. After a few days we moved to Haad Son as we were more comfortable there."
Oivind. Feb 2008

"If you are looking for a well-run, chilled-out, fairly-priced place with plenty of character and great absolute beach front location then we can t recommend Coco highly enough! We loved it so much we extended our stay from 4 to 10 nights within one day of checking in. Adrian and Lee are very cool and took really great care of us and a heads up to the lovely Tai who quietly and efficiently keeps it all together -and to Lek, probably the best barman on Koh Phangan, at possibly one of the nicest beach bars on the island (tho ssh, we would want to let the secret out too much - it s not a wild party zone, just a really great bar!) Food was great, service great from all the staff, and tho the room type we chose was indeed very basic, it was great for the price and right on the beach. Baan Tai may not be the nicest beach on the island and not great for swimming, but it has a nice wild feel, a constant cooling breeze and is very conveniently located as a base from which to explore the rest of the island. We love Coco and will defintely be back! (if there s any room after this review!). Just one small word of caution, which applies all over the island, be mindful of security and dont get too chilled out you get blase about that. See you in a couple of years Coco! ps hope Fatty the beach dog is still going strong when we get back".
Stephanie & Mick. UK. Feb 2008

"really nice place, and the staff are great, i had a simple bungalow which was still really nice and right in front of the water and not to expensive. Only down side is that the beach for my stay was really windy and had been for about two weeks so i was forever trying to find other beaches to go to."
Leigh Andrew Cooper. Australia. Feb 2008

"Well rooms were great value for money 2 owners Adrian & Lee are great and all the staff are brilliant absolutely no complaints... Lek the barman is sound highly recommend to stay here"
Erica Maria Shevlin. Ireland. Jan 2008

"We stayed 3 nights for the Full Moon party and could not have been more happy! The owners Adrian and Lee wil go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Nothing is too much effort! Rooms are simple yet contain everything you need. Food is delicious and so are the cocktails from the bar which is right on the beach! People even came from other accommodation to use our bar! 15 min taxi ride to Full Moon which was perfect as when the party was over you could go home to sleep withour hearing the continious music that you would if you stayed in Haad Rin. Coco Garden even has a facebook group its that popular! Thanks for an amazing 3 days."
Ellie McKenzie. Australia. Jan 2008

"Coco Garden was a great place to stay. Perfect location, amazing bungalows, cheap good quality food and really good service. Would definately recommend staying there, you can just spend all day taking in the sun and relaxing or you can get anywhere you need to be on the island by scooter or taxi so why not stay somewhere nice!"
Tess Drewit. Australia. Jan 2008

"awesome....i enjoyed my stay at coco garden...it was lovely....i loved the bar, the service and the staff is really friendly....good location....i simply loved it...."
Smruti Popat. India. Jan 2008

"We were supposed to stay here for 5 days, but we extended the stay with 4 more days. We wanted to stay there longer but they were all full because of the Full Moon Party. Beautiful settings, quiet location, great and helpfull staff and owners, really good food at good prices, nice bungalows just a few steps from the beach, cosy beach-bar, all in all a great place to stay at a good price, great value for money. When we come back to Phangan we will for sure stay at Coco Garden!"
Linda & Amir. Norway. Jan 2008

"Coco Gardens was by far the best resort that we have had the oppurtunity to stay at in thailand. The rooms were clean, the bar and resturent were great, the staff were friendly and helpfull, the location was excellent and most of all the two owners Adrian and Lee went out of there way to make our stay pleasent and enjoyable. Thank you guys for making it a great one and if im back that way again their is no doubt in mind were i will be staying!"

Mike Bowman. Australia. Jan 2008

"Well were do we start - genuinley bloody brilliant!!! food, company, atmosphere, hospitality, views, cleanlines all top marks and more. The owners Lee & Thai do anything to make you feel welcome, will be going back next year (for a bacon cheeseburger!), this place out of the centre but worth it a million times over, jo, emma and Rosin U.k, Ireland x x"
Emma. UK & Nothern Ireland. Dec 2007

"Fun & Friendly! - I didn't actually stay here but my boyfriend did before I came out to Thailand. When we went back to stay on Koh Phangan we came here at night to eat, drink and socialise. The guys who run the place are very friendly and up for a laugh as the guests. Everything is very reasonable priced and both the Western and Thai food is brilliant. We loved the bar set up, with it being right on the beach with relaxing floor cushions and lots of hammocks, plus the views of Koh Samui and Had Rin are amazing! The perfect place to chill out and meet some great people! Even if you don't end up staying here I'd still recommend stopping by for a few beers and something to eat."
Hayley. UK. Dec 2007

"This place feels like a real home from home. Open your door and your right on the beachfront. You can enjoy a drink at the bar or some food whilst relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. All the food is homemade and tastes amazing, thai and english. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. If they can help they will, whether it be organsing trips and transport or broken I-pods! For all those going to the Full Moon Party this is a perfect location with regaular taxis passing by and the area is patrolled at night. Rooms are extremely comfortable and Thongsala is only a 10 min walk away. We would like to say a big thanks to Lee and Adrian (the english owners) and all the rest of the Thai staff, Thai, Pom.. for making our stay so chilled out and relaxing."
Sarah & Dave. Jersey C.I. Nov 2007

“Ein grossartiger platz an der sonne. War hier fuer ein monat und genoss jeden einzelnen tag. Das preis – leistungsverhaeltniss ist spitze. Die crew ist sehr freundlich und das essen ist ein traum. Kann Coco Garden jeden weiter empfehlen. Highly recommended.”
Michael Kneist. Germany. Nov 2007

"very nice place, location is great especially for the full moon party as it isnt on the main beach but for security i think its better that way. They have a security guard patrolling the grounds which is good. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. They were able to organise taxis, boat tours and boat travel tickets for us which was handy. Only thing is that its dark path road from the main road to the bungalows so we tried to make the taxis stop right in the grounds as its a bit dark for 2 girls. But I loved the place and would recommend the A/C rooms rather than fan. Will definately love to come back!"

Danielle Villazon. Australia. Oct 2007

"I did choose this accomodation based on reviews and maybe I was being a little naive, this is probably a different experience in the sun but when we were there it was raining and it wasn t what I expected at all. The beach that the bungalows are right on top of is just a strip and is dirty. The bungalows looked great from the outside but the facilities were basic to say the least, I didn t expect luxury but a flushing toilet (a bucket was supplied) and a clean basin would have made things more comfortable, I also wish someone had told me that there would be no sheets on the bed just a towel and that we would need to be covered in mozzy repelant at all times (cracks in the floor). The reviews said that this was a super friendly place to stay, and the bar area was cozy and the food and drink good (and cheap!) but we weren t really given a warm welcome by the english speaking staff. This is also quite far away from anything and the walk to the main road is not for the faint hearted - we had to wade through water that forced us to throw our shoes away! As I said, it was raining and I m sure if the sun was out it would have been different so maybe this is one just for the summer months!"
Miss L Morris. UK. Oct 2007

"Better late than never :-). The greatest place we have ever stayed, booked 4 nights but stayed 11. Great rooms, amazing food and the kindest people. And of course a great beach bar, were we spent quite some time :-) We cant wait to go back and see how Adrian, Poom and Lee are doing. Best wishes from Mikkel and Eva"
Eva Peerson. Germany. Sept 2007

"coco gardens was like actual paradise. the fan bungalows are obviously basic but superb for the price with cute little porches each with a hammock. Stayed during full moon party in Sept, a songtaew costing only 200bht per person to get to haad rin it was perfect. the beach is beautiful and the bar playing chill out music on the beach with cushions and hammocks is lush. a very good stay, would recommend"

Nicola Ball. New Zealand. Sept 2007

"Beautifully serene setting in pleasant gardens with stunning views and footstep access to the beach (which we virtually had to ourselves for our three days ;) ) Air con bungalow was very clean and beautifully presented with thai decor; bathroom great too and the hammock on the terrace overlooking the beachfront made this our favorite stay in Thailand. However the infrastructure will only go so far to make your stay a pleasant one....... The biggest praise must go to Adrian, Lee and their wonderful team of locals (especially Pom and the Chef) who made our stay a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the service impeccable and the small touches of customer service combined with the excellent facilities to make this place a truly wonderful destination. Cannot recommend this highly enough; make your stay on Koh Pan Gnan special and go see the guys at Coco Gardesn... and give them our best wishes ;) Richard & Kay."
Richard. UK. Sept 2007

"To Adrian, Lee and the great staff, Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and your fantastic accomodation and facilities. Travellers wishing to go to Koh Phangan - do youself a favour and end your google search and simply stay at the Coco Gardens. Location is ideal , the restaurant was superb, the rooms were clean and very good, the bar had great atmosphere music and people and everything was reasonably priced, perfect for the budget traveller. So get that tab started again lads and we will see you next year (and in greater numbers!!)"
Aaron Dawe. New Zealand. Aug 2007

"We travelled thailand for a month this august and this was by far the best place we stayed!! The location is great, views are beautiful and bungalows are really nice. The staff were really friendly & the food in the restaurant was always great. The beach bar serves the best cocktails in the whole of thailand, worth going even if you dont stay there! Had an amazing 4 days here and would definately return!"
Lauren & Lauren. UK. Aug 2007

"FANTASTIC!!!!!! We found Coco by accident and intended to stay for 2 nights. But ended up meeting such a good group of people at the bar we stayed for just over 3 weeks. Didn't seem half as long though as the staff are excellent and will do anything for you. Also the bar is the busiest on the beach and while we were there attracted all the residents from the neighbouring resorts. In conclusion: clean, great food, good value. The best place we have stayed so far, made some great friends and definately hope to return. ps the guards dogs are cool."
billyandys (from Travelfish) July 2007

"Checked into a pretty little fan bungalow for 2 nights and stayed for 10! This place is a real gem... best I've experienced in Thailand. Accommodation was clean w/ beautiful surrounds & good location; owners & staff were friendly and helpful & always up for a laugh; the beach bar attracted people from all around w/ super music & atmosphere, met many great characters; and the food at the restaurant was delish. "WOW! what a fantastic time we had at Coco Gardens - the staff couldnt have been friendlier, everything we could have wished for and more was given, food is fantastic, and as for the beach bar.....many fun nights in a chilled atmosphere. Beach is beautiful, with amazing views from our bungalow. We can t thank you guys enough, we will never forget all the great memories - need i say more!?"

"The bungalows are cosy and have a nice balcony and comfy hammock, but no fridge or anything else. The room wasnt cleaned for the three nights we were there and i got the feeling it would never have got cleaned. We had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper. Its a bit over priced but its ok its got a nice beach bar and its close to Thong sala."
